Stem Cell Applications
The following applications are those currently under investigation by physicians and researchers in hospitals, academic centers and clinical settings. They are organized by type of disorder being treated, and then broken down into specific illnesses. Each of these takes you to a page with 1) a definition and description of the condition, 2) a link to research papers about cellular treatments, and 3) a link to current open trails of stem cell therapies for these illnesses.
Stem cell applications can be categorized as intravascular (IV) or extravascular (EV). intravascular include Cardiac and Pulmonary. Extravascular include: Cicatricial, Cosmetic, Dermatologic, Gynecologic, and Urologic. The remaining categories involve both: Endocrine, Immunologic, Neurologic, Ophthalmolic, Vascular.
