CIRM is a state-funded organization created to support programs and cures through cell-based regenerative medicine. By providing projects not only with funding, but also with support, guidance advice and expertise, they have become an accelerator of medical science. Nearly 15 years ago, California taxpayers entrusted CIRM with $3 billion to navigate the unknown, to bring stem cell science from the research lab to the bedside. Today, California is a leader in regenerative medicine, having built a robust ecosystem that has transformed the global research community.
